Fishing

The River Shiel flows from Loch Shiel down to the sea at Loch Moidart. The river marks the boundary between Inverness-shire and Argyll. A most attractive and varied river with 12 named pools; it offers salmon and sea trout, as well as brown trout fishing.

Fishing on the river is available by weekly lets, with the party saying at Camus Dorche. Single day lets may be available by prior arrangement.

There are two rotating beats with each beat permitting 4 rods allowing you to fish both banks of the river. An experienced ghillie is on hand for part of the time. Fishing is by fly only and like all west coast rivers there is a catch and release policy for salmon and sea trout.

Hill loch fishing on Loch Blain is available upon request.
