Walks

 

The Silver Walk - skirts the shore of Loch Moidart starting from Dorlin and leading to Kinlochmoidart.

 

Loch Blain to Scarduish - passes by two hill lochs and comes down the narrow pass to Scarduish with sea views over Loch Moidart. 

 

Arivegaig to Gortenfern - a track leading to wonderful sandy beaches at Gortenfern. 

 

Beaches

 

Dorlin - the nearest beach with great views of Castle Tioram with swimming from the north shore.

 

Ardtoe - three attractive rocky coves with sandy beaches.

 

Samalaman - a small but pretty sandy beach near Glenuig

 

Sanna Bay - a magnificent beach with dunes behind and fantastic views of Eigg, Rum and Muck.

 

Camusdarach - a beautiful sandy beach looking towards Eigg and Skye

Castle Tioram - a ruined castle on a half tide island.

 

Jacobite Steam Train - www.westcoastrailways.co.uk goes from Fort William to Mallaig passing over the Glenfinnan viaduct made famous by the Harry Potter film.

 

Ardnamurchan Lighthouse - www.ardnamurchanlighthouse.com  the most westerly point of the British mainland.

Visit the islands of Eigg, Rum and Muck from the harbour at Arisaig www.arisaig.co.uk

Take a car ferry from Lochaline to Mull or from Mallaig to Skye for the day www.calmac.co.uk
